Due to poor weather conditions we did not arrive at Burbage until 4.45am. Despite this, Mike opened the door to us with a very warm welcome and even a smile and showed us to our apartment. The apartment was lovely and warm for our arrival and it was spotlessly clean and extremely well kept. It had lovely big beds, all mod cons and a great power shower. Mike and Shiela were lovely and friendly and very willing to assist with any queries. I would have no hesitation in recommending Burbage to anyone and we will definitely be booking in on our next visit to Blackpool.
None at all.

Had a great easter break at the Burbage Lodge, stayed in the disabled apartment, which was very large, spotless well adapted and equipped.Check in quick and easy, owners could not have been more helpful.Ideal stay if you like to be near to the main attractions but also away from all the noise .Would recommend this to everyone

As I said, we have stumbled across a bit of a hidden gem with this place.

We booked up at late notice for a last minute short break, 4 nights to be precise. Booking was easy and efficient. We had the choice of two apartments, but because there was only two of us we went for the smaller apartment.

I spoke with Mick (who I believe owns it with his partner Shiela) the day prior to going and he was very nice and friendly. Mick and I had a genuinely friendly conversation that did not revolve around me giving him business. Mick very informatively told me about another hidden gem that would appear to be unknown by most however unfortunately due to the weather it was not possible to visit. If you want to know more about this 'other' hidden gem you'll need to book and then ask Mick on arrival!

Upon arriving considerably later than I had told Mick I would (this was due to the inclement weather) he had arranged for the key to the apartment to be made available.

We were very kindly upgraded to one of the better apartments for no extra cost whatsoever. I think it was apartment 2 on the ground floor. What a stunning apartment! When we entered we were quite literally blown away. It was huge inside! This is an apartment that is completely accessible for wheelchairs. It really is quite impressive. The apartment was spotless inside and had literally everything you would need for self-catering. There were extra little touches that made the difference. Even the forks are neatly laid out in the drawer!!!

It really did feel like a home from home. There was a very nice big flat screen TV and DVD player. We found an extensive range of children's and adult DVD's available from Mick/Shiela, all at no cost. There was a TV in both bedrooms (which incidentally both bedrooms are en-suite) as well. The whole apartment was very warm and cozy; especially appreciated with the weather being like it was when we were there.

On the morning of checkout both my partner and I got up late, pretty much at the time that we were supposed to be checking out actually. I threw some clothes on and went out to apologise to Shiela and to say we would be out as soon as possible. Shiela and Mick both told me not to worry and to not rush at all. We apparently had plenty of time and in fact we did end up taking a considerable time to get ready and finally leave. Still this was no problem for Mick and Shiela.

I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone wishing for friendly/family feel, self catering and relaxing break.

Situated on the select Queen's Promenade this is truly a home from home experience.

No attention to detail is spared. Apartments are regularly updated with new appliances and include such things as washing machines, dishwashers and large flat screen T.V's with freeview and a large selection of DVD's available to borrow.

A selection of games for both adults and kids are available to borrow from the reception area and they even provide buckets and spades and other beach games to use during your stay.

Even bathrobes and footwear are provided for your comfort.

My mother is disabled and we take her every year. There is a specially converted apartment for the disabled, which has everything she requires. It is even better than her own home and it has received a 5* rating (one of only 15 disabled units in the country to do so apparently).

I can honestly say it is the best accomodation we have ever had the pleasure of staying in and would fully recommend it to anyone. But don't just take my word for it, see for yourself. They have deservingly won many awards and I would suggest a visit to the website [--] to see for yourself and select the apartment that best suits your needs.

We have been going to Blackpool for several years now with our children and have stayed at many places along the way. We have however struck gold with the Burbage Lodge and intend to visit for many years to come.

The location is fantastic offering great access to the illuminations which our kids adore. With good shops nearby and an arcade too, there is all you need for a self catering stay. The beach is a 2 minute walk across the road and there is easy access to the rest of Blackpool using the tram system.

We have already stayed in two different flats within the lodge and have been very impressed with both. The rooms are clean and well maintained with all the latest appliances and facilities e.g. superb widescreen TV's.

The welcome is great and you feel a cosy atmosphere. The top and bottom of it is that it is a home from home and we hope to return for many more years.

Hotel Location

Both the BURBAGE HOLIDAY LODGE and QUEENS MANSIONS are within 100 yards of each other, on the select area of Queens Promenade, Bispham, the North side of Blackpool town centre, but easily accessed by tram or bus for the bright lights, fabulous shows and the famous Blackpool Tower. To the North of Bispham is Cleveleys with an 8 screen cinema and excellent for shopping. Within 4 miles there is Fleetwood with its famous market, Freeport shopping village and Marina. Both apartment blocks are next to Red Bank road where there is the finest selection of restaurants on the coast, from family eating to that "something special" night out, including Italian, Indian, Thai and Chinese.
