On arrival we were met by the new owners carl and brian and what a welcome we recieved. Nothing was to much trouble and the welcome was warm and friendly, the service we recieved was second to none. It was more like visiting 2 old freinds rather than staying in a B&B it was better than home from home. We would say to any one staying in blackpool try the sorento 1st if there is a vacancy you will not be dissapointed, we will definately be going back. The cleanliness of the rooms and the food was excellent, if you have any requests they are happy to help. As we said nothing is to much trouble they are excellent hosts. Thankyou carl and brian for making our stay a memorable one.

Very friendly owners, good location, lovely breakfast... got it spot on. great idea to fill cards in of what you want for breakfast following morning, runs like clockwork. definatly stay here again.
only the one, very small en suite, could have been made bigger due to size of room. no room to get dried or dressed in after shower.

I arrived with a friend to Blackpool for the yearly magic convention. We ordered 2 rooms. The owner, Collin, is a most friendly person, helped us in any way he could - all with a big smile. He and his wife run this 11 room hotel themselves. The hotel is located 100 meters from a big shopping mall, 200 meters from the Blackpool tower (which was closed during our stay) and 250 meters away from the Winter gardens (where the convention took place). There is a supermarket (Grocery sotre) just on the other side on the street. The rooms were big, clean, with a mini bar, plat screen TV, coffee maker and even an iron and a board. Foe Brakefast you can choose items from the menu (full English brakefast is included). Since we had a rented car, Collin even arranged a parking space for us. The room has heating, toilet and a shower. All clean and functional (my friends in another hotel didn't have hot water for 3 days and thier heating system wasn't working). I will defently stay at this hotel in my next visits to Blackpool.
None. It was more then good, especially the owner's approach to his guests.

ive stopped in blackpool many times and i have never stopped anywhere as friendly or nice as this hotel! we are already lookin at more dates to go back there. colin made us feel more than welcome and made the room look simply stunning. we opted to have champagne and flowers in the room and it looked so gorgeous when we arrived and was worth every penny:) i recommend anyone looking to stop somewhere clean friendly and value for money then look no further.... we will definetly be returning here without a doubt! thankyou for makin our stay so nice
the only negative is we didnt book to stay longer.... if we could have stayed we would haha... there is nothing negative about sorrento house!

Very good breakfast and the rooms were warm. overall a good b & b to stay at for a weekend very close to tower and amenaties. indidvidual keys provided so able to return as and when you wished to.
unable to open window in room although did not ask if it was possible. the ensuite was cold with no type of heating.

room was clean
first time ever after having four holidays a year to find a hotel where you have to make your own bed after paying all that money...nobody told us you, just find out when it's still the same way you left the room in the morning and then ask, to be told we don't do that! meals are fine it you take the main choice but 2nd choice was a disgrace..tiny burger with a cheese slice on a huge dry bap and chips, no garnish...not what you would serve an adult for a hotel meal

Despite being a small B&B it is a good one. They are owners who are pleased to have you stay, nicely decorated quiet & clean rooms, very tasty breakfast and a few little extra's to make it stand out from the rest. I would recomend this hotel and stay again!
This place does not deserve negative comments but it obviously is not perfect.

I phoned the owner, Colin the day before to check to see if we could check in ealier in the morning. This wasn't a problem and we were checked in on arrival.
Colin carried my heavy bags up to the room to note, thank you.
The food was excellent and tasted home cooked.
There is no parking at the hotel but Colin can arrange secure parking if required.

We have stayed at the Sorrento a number of times it never fails to meet all requirements. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the home cooked food is some of the best (no packet sauces used here!). Colin and Gail really make you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door.
We would not stay anywhere else in Blackpool now we have found the Sorrento House.
The guest house is close to all the main attractions such as the Blackpool Tower, Winter Gardens, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the town centre shopping.
We have recommended this Guest House to a number of people after hearing of their previous experiences.
A really big thank you to Colin and Gail and we will see you again soon.

After stopping here in July, the owners Colin and Gail made a wet weekend a pleasure. The hotel is in a perfect spot, but its the owners who are what this industry is all about. Excellent all round.
