This site "need to get away" did not put our booking forward to the guest house, so when we arrived the staff did not know who we were and said that they could only accommodate us for 1 night when we had booked for 2 nights, we had all the invoices they had sent us and every thing was great, (so we thought)Nobody should start there stay on this very bad note, il never book through "need to get away again",total rubbish.

We had a great stay at the Haldene on Saturday night. From the 1st minute on arrival Sue was great, very warm and welcoming. Great breakfast too. All in all, a good stay!!
With having a couple of kids, behind the telly was a lot of loose cabling which should have been somehow kept away.

I booked the delux double ( with four poster bed) and ordered flowers and chocolates for my partner, the bouquet was huge and the chocs were lovely these were extra, how ever what was not extra but complimentary was the bottle of wine (which susan had taken the time to find out which wine was prefered) also included in the price was breakfast in the room. Susan greeted us with a warm friendly smile and informed us of various activities in the area for that weekend. Overall it was a fantastic weekend and my partner was totally blown away with the whole thing.
One minor point (very minor) would be that when the breakfast trolley was taken away our cups from the night before were left in the room rather than replaced with fresh ones.

Susan and her daughter made us very welcome and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable, clean and tidy, and the food was excellent. It's always nice to be able to go away and find a home from home.

my and my family stayed at the haldene over nite as the reviews and photos made the hotel look inviting so i booked on line and soon as we got to the hotel sue was at the door to welcome us which was very nice as i havnt had that kind of welcome before in other hotels her daughter then came to show us the room which we where having for the nite it was a four poster bed room it had lots of room to move about in it had a en-suite which was was lovely it had its own dressing room which my son thought was great as he could look at himself in the mirror it is in a great location not far from the front and near the tram stop so there is not a lot of walking which is good when u have a 5yr old the breakfast was a full english breakfast plus cereal if u wanted it i would recommend this hotel to anyone we went as strangers and came away as friends i hope to see sue+chelsea this year kelly and family

Went for a New Year break , the owner was very friendly and helpfull and would advise on trips and local events and amenities. The room was nice and clean, with tea and coffee facilities in the room. First class breakfast and plenty of it. Hotel is located in quiet area so theres no noise comming from the street. Would have no hesitations to come back to Haldene on our next visit to Blackpool.

What a super weekend we had staying at the Haldene in Blackpool - we were made to feel so welcome - the rooms though compact are spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed. The food was good wholesome home cooked food and so pleasantly served. We were there on a crafting weekend - the proprietor made us feel so much at home and we look forward to going again. To the person who thought this was the worst hotel in Blackpool - I could only say this is certainly NOT our experience and we will return again.
