Excellent friendly welcome with good quality rooms. Breakfast was lovely. Good location and walking distance to Central Pier.
Perhaps the rooms need a bit of a spruce up and decor needs updating. The towels were very small for a big lad like me. Perhaps abit longer time for breakfast as limited to 30 minute time slot.

a truly great couple. arrive a stranger leave as a friend. barry was exceptionally entertaining. breakfast was excellent.
only draw back for us was the decor in bedroom. orange walls was too much for a small room. more pastel shades would have lightened the room.

Barry and Andrea are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is made as per your individual request and was always freshly made and piping hot. The bar in the basement caters for children and adults of all ages and Barry's magic tricks amaze both young and old. highly recommended

Without doubt Barry and Andrea are the most friendly and helpfull hosts ive had the pleasure to stay with in the 30 odd years ive been going to Blackpool.Me and my fiancée had a fantastic stay and have to thank them for the hospitality and for the extra time that they took to help with booking the pleasure beach for us.There is a great little bar downstairs with a pool table and toys for the kids, not to mention the entertaining magic tricks and friendly banter.Had a fantastic relaxed and fun holiday staying at The Hurstmere all thanks to Barry and Andrea, Wish i was still there!.Thanks again hope to have the pleasure of staying at The Hurstmere with you folks again soon!

Very clean, staff were welcoming and friendly, providing a very personal service that you don't see in places like the Travel Lodge. You get a free breakfast with a varied selection and great servings. Rooms were clean and free wi-fi is provided. There's a nice small, family bar in the converted basement with things for the family to do and prices were very good. All around great value for money and is only a few steps away from the famous Blackpool Promanade.
Only tiny, little thing was breakfast was only between 9 and 9:30, would've been nice to have a slightly larger window and maybe later to get a lie in, other than that I have nothing bad to say about the place.

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. They also had a good knowledge of the area and the local attractions. Excellent location. Very nice artwork in the hallways.
Ours was possibly the last room cleaned and so appeared to be done in a bit of a rush - bed made and bathroom cleaned OK but tea/coffee facilities not cleaned or replenished. Also, as is usual in converted houses, the room was a bit cramped but was still comfortable. Despite this I would still recommend staying here.

WE ENJOYED OUR STAY. OWNERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD WAS GOOD.
ONLY THING I CAN FAULT THIS HOTEL ON IS THAT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING FOOD BACK TO ROOM. SOMETIMES IF YOU ARE OUT LATE YOU LIKE SOMETHING TO EAT AND WITH HAVING THE KIDS WITH US WE FOUND OURSELFS SITTING OUTSIDE THE HOTEL AT NIGHT EATING A "KFC", BUT AS I SAID EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GOOD.

We all really enjoyed our 4 night break with Andrea, Barry & Family - Travelled with friends & family with 2 toddlers to celebrate a special birthday (12 of us in total!!)
Hotel is ideally located with secure parking - Anything you need Andrea & Barry are on hand to assist. Lovely full english breakfast with Teddy Toast for the little ones!! Toddlers also enjoyed all the toys that were provided in living/bar area. The bar area is fantastic, there is a area for kids to play and plenty for the adults too, we enjoyed karaoke, Wii, Darts & Pool. Look foward to returning back for illuminations later on in the year. Thanks again Andrea, Barry & Family.

This is one of the better hotels/ B&B's in Blackpool.
When we arrived and checked in, for once my heart did not sink when i looked around the place.
The owners are very obliging and helpful, nothing too much bother.
The place is laid out like most B&B's in Blackpool. It is kept clean and tidy throughout and bedroom/ ensuite is also very clean.
We only had two nights there but breakfast is good and bar is handy for a couple of drinks before putting kids to bed. (only thing is not a lot of space when busy due to size and pool table). Drinks reasonably priced.
Barry advised on reasonable eating places nearby. This saved us wasting money on poor food.
Barry and Andrea interact well with all guests including entertaining the kids. My daughter is practising washing dishes for when we return next year!!

Once again nothing too much hassle for them both and place is clean. A welcome change for Blackpool!!
