Keswick is location in the North of the Lake District. Keswick is located nearto Skiddaw mountain range and Derwent Water Lake.

Keswick hosts a half marathon each May. The distance is 13 mile and the course starts in Keswick, loops through Borrowdale and circles Derwent Water finishing at Keswick Rugby Club. In May, 2007 the town hosted the Keswick Mountain Festival.

Given the fact that the shopping centre in Keswick is vibrant and a great excuse not to go walking in the mountains when raining, Keswick was awarded a Fairtrade Town status in 2005. To compliment the shopping, there are of course a number of eateries and pubs to frequent.
